In the late 1970s, Rafiq Fibres began assembling and manufacturing cotton and cotton waste processing machinery. The company revolutionized the textile industry by introducing metal-based processing machines, eliminating wood-based components. Under the visionary leadership of Chairman Mr. Muhammad Sarwar Rafiq, the company swiftly grew, expanding its operations nationwide and gaining a reputation for quality and innovation.

In 1990, Rafiq Fibres expanded its vertical integration by establishing Qutab Textile Mills (Pvt.) Limited is an open-end spinning unit located in Sheikhupura. This facility produced 11,250 kilograms of yarn daily, meeting the increasing demand for quality yarn in the domestic market. To meet growing demand, another spinning unit was launched in Faisalabad in the late 1990s, increasing daily production capacity by 19,000 kilograms.

By 2001, the company had diversified into various yarn types, supported by the setup of a 25,000 spindle Ring Spinning facility. Another unit followed in 2005, further enhancing the company’s production capabilities. Today, Rafiq Fibres (Pvt.)
