Pointcarre is a French textile CAD software company founded in 1985 and headquartered in Rennes, France, with a strategic presence in New York City. For over 40 years, Pointcarre has served the global textile industry with professional design and simulation software, operating in more than 120 countries through a worldwide network of certified partners.

The software is used daily by fashion houses, home furnishing manufacturers, technical textile producers, freelance designers and leading textile schools including NIFT campuses across India and NC State University in the United States.

The Repeat Maker automates seamless repeat construction, a task that previously required hours of manual work. AI Upscaling increases image resolution without quality loss. These three AI tools are exclusive to Pointcarre and represent a fundamental shift in how textile designers work.

The YarnMaker module generates photorealistic 3D yarn rendering across all fiber types - cotton, linen, silk, wool, synthetics and blends - producing what is widely regarded as the most accurate fabric simulation available in the textile CAD market.

Combined with the Jacquard Maker, which instantly converts any image into a production-ready Jacquard structure, Pointcarre delivers a level of automation and realism that no competitor currently matches. The full Pantone color library, ColorCSI and the Archroma Color Atlas with 5,760 colors are all included at no extra cost.

On the production side, Pointcarre is compatible with the major industrial loom brands including Stäubli, Bonas, Picanol, Itema and Dornier for weaving, Stoll and Karl Mayer for knitting, and CMC, Tuftco and Vandewiele for tufting. This direct machine compatibility bridges the gap between creative design and industrial manufacturing, making Pointcarre a genuine end-to-end solution from first sketch to loom output.

Pointcarre releases annual software updates, provides remote technical support in multiple languages and offers both online training through Pointcarre Academy and on-site training at client premises. The software works with or without a hardware dongle and is available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Turkish.
