Initially specializing in traditional Syrian fabrics, Georges Assouad quickly expanded operations to include a dye house and export activities, becoming a market leader in natural silk production by 1916.

With a legacy rooted in quality and craftsmanship, Assouad Textile relocated to Egypt in 1936, establishing a weaving mill in Shubra El Kheima and later a dye house and spinning mill in Zeitoun, Cairo. These facilities have been pivotal in maintaining Assouad Textile's position as a leader in the industry, serving markets across the Middle East and North Africa.

Today, Assouad Textile operates state-of-the-art facilities equipped with the latest technology. The factory boasts advanced machinery, including Karl Mayer wrapping machines, Picanol air-jet weaving machines, and Kusters’ continuous dyeing machines, ensuring high-quality fabric production. Monforts Stenter and sanforizing machines are employed for precise shrink treatment, highlighting the company's commitment to excellence.
